3:00-5:00 PM Optional conversation with the artist, Mary Heebner and viewing of special conference installation of her work, Bodhisattvas at Ayutthaya.
4:00-7:00 PM Optional Hands-on Artists' Bookmaking Experience (1 hour - choice of 4-5, 5-6 or 6-7)
Introduction to the Cerritos Library special collection - Art of the Book: the Book as Art. Using elements from the Asian influences subcategory of the collection participants will learn to make a book. Preregistration is required as space is limited.
4:00-7:00 PM Optional viewings in designated display cases throughout the Cerritos Library: selected artists' books from the Cerritos Library Art of the Book: the Book as Art Special Collection, items from the Pacific Asia Museum Nature of the Beast exhibit and kimono on loan from a Cerritos resident.
4:00-7:00 PM Optional Tours of the Cerritos Library
(2 hours - choice of 4-6 or 5-7). Preregistration is required as space is limited.
4:00-7:00 PM Optional green screen photo opportunity (team photos taken with conference green screen graphics)

Teams will work on developing a plan for their chosen project aided by consultants.

Teams will share plans using a poster session format.

Explanation of special benefits available to those teams that carry out their plans by June 30, 2006.
