He specializes in developing educational applications of interactive videoconferencing and webcasting for schools, public libraries, and museums. He also is project manager for Project Videonet, a research and resource clearinghouse for the more than 40 California public libraries equipped with videoconferencing. While with Pacific Bell's Education First program, Dan pioneered the use of videoconferencing in public libraries, producing such events as virtual author visits, teledramas, video field trips to museums, and a public programming series on breast cancer. His clients include the California State Library's Rural Initiative, Infopeople, California Center for the Book, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Orange County Department of Education. |
